Beautiful You – Michelle Guraliuk

This week’s Woman in the Spotlight is……. MICHELLE GURALIUK!!

I first met Michelle at her oldest son’s wedding. She is full of life and so very kind. She left an impression on me, and I just had to invite her to enjoy a Beautiful You Experience. I encouraged her to share her session with her Mom. They both enjoyed being pampered and having their hair and makeup done. Throughout their session the three of us got to connect, and of course, our conversation turned into a lot of fun, and their images are amazing.

Michelle has recently made a big move to a new chapter in her work life. Going from having her own business as a hairstylist, helping people look gorgeous, to working as a Health Care Assistant, helping people who can’t care for themselves.

Here’s what she says about this time in her life:

❤️ Tell me a bit about your business/line of work?
When Covid hit I found myself having the time to sit back and evaluate my current work as a hairstylist and where I might see myself in the next few years. I quite honestly was burnt out and needing a change. A program came up that was an amazing opportunity, schooling paid for me to become a Health Care Assistant. Here I was again in one of those moments that was feeling like a gift and an opportunity that I could not pass on. So I began my schooling and my new career as an HCA.

❤️ Is there anything else you want to share about your career?
I love my new job! It can be tough and it is for sure a complete change. But, one thing that stays the same for me is being able to love and care for some incredible souls. I feel so blessed to be there for individuals when some of them are at the most vulnerable in their life.

❤️ What positives have come from being at this stage of your life?

I just don’t worry about things as much anymore. Life is short and not to sound cliche but, really…. take the trip, love big, because at the end of it all you will be remembered for what you did and how you made people feel.

❤️ How has your perspective on life shifted over time?
People are just people trying to get through this crazy life however they can. No reason to be intimidated by what people have, what career they are in, because we all are dealing with our own stuff.

❤️ What’s been the biggest challenge in your life and how have you dealt with those challenges?
Being a teen Mom was tough and scary. I am strong willed and determined…. I knew I would figure it out. Too stubborn not to 🤣

❤️ What advice would you give your younger self?
It’s going to be ok.

❤️ What brings you absolute joy?
Seeing people happy and doing what they love.

❤️ What do you hope for the future generations?
Geez…. we really need to get a handle on killing our earth, being kinder to everyone that crosses your path. It breaks my heart.

Congratulations Michelle!!
