Outdoor? Studio? There are many outdoor locations to choose from, be prepared to be flexible about time of day, the best light is about an hour before sunset. My studio is equipped to serve the individual needs of each family. My studio closet includes accessories and wardrobe for client use easing the burden of extra shopping and worry before your child’s session.
Safety of your child is of the utmost importance. All posing is done with the highest level of care and patience. Specific poses are not guaranteed, each child has their own unique qualities and I want to bring out that uniqueness in your photographs. Your experience will be crafted with an eye toward detailed, timeless and simple portraits. My intention is to keep the focus of the images on your sweet kids.
I love to use soft colors of white, creams and muted neutrals. On occasion, I will add in small pops of color, but I don’t like anything to distract from your little one. I try to keep things Pure and Simple. I seldom use many props besides, hats, headbands, textured clothing and even a chair. I prefer to keep the focus on them.
Your session is a time to relax, hang out and let the kids (& adults) be who they are. It’s a time to put down those phones and really watch your family have a great time, create memories & capture a moment in time. Being relaxed will help your children relax too. We will have plenty of time for snack/play breaks for your little ones. You are welcome to bring special toys & mess-free snacks for distractions. We will capture their soft smiles and the sparkle in their eyes. And sometimes even their goofy faces. These are all important keepsakes to store in your treasure box of memories. Life happens, time passes quickly, don’t put this off for another day, let’s capture a few moments of the Love, Laughter & Life of your family just as they are now.
